Nigeria's Super Falcons and Al Ittihad defender Ashleigh Plumptre has expressed her excitement over the outcome of the game against local rivals Al Ahly, BSNSports.com.ng reports

The Nigerian International was the hero in the game as she fired a hat-trick to propel her team to a comfortable 6-2 victory.

The former Leicester City ladies player was happy about the game and she further appreciates the fans for their tremendous support.

"A blessing to experience every moment with this team.

Enjoyed my first derby game with this group and grateful for the hat-trick in front of our incredible fans", she said.

Despite being a defender Plumptre has now scored 6 goals this season for Al Ittihad.
