Security Challenges: NLO Reverts To Virtual AGM

Due to growing security concerns across the country, including terrorism, banditry, kidnappings and farmer–herder clashes, the Nationwide League One (NLO) Executive Board has decided to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The AGM, originally scheduled to take place in Abuja on December 12, was expected to bring together delegates approved by the various State Football Associations, including the FCT.

However, in view of the current security situation, the NLO Secretariat has officially informed all affiliated clubs of the change.

In a circular sent to stakeholders, the league stated that the AGM will now be conducted online on the same date, December 12, to guarantee the safety of all participants.

The virtual meeting will still allow for important deliberations and decision-making, while ensuring a secure and conducive environment.

Access links and technical details for the meeting will be communicated to all accredited delegates in due course.

The NLO, as Africa’s largest grassroots football governing body, has called for the understanding and cooperation of its affiliates as it responds to the nation’s current security challenges.
