 Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi has earned a triumphant return to the English Premier League after playing a pivotal role in Hull City’s promotion on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Hull City sealed their place in the top flight with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium.

 The Tigers produced a disciplined and organised defensive performance to edge out their opponents and clinch promotion.

Ajayi was instrumental throughout the contest, anchoring Hull’s backline with composure and leadership. 

The experienced centre-back’s ability to marshal the defence proved decisive as Hull kept a clean sheet against a dangerous Middlesbrough attack.

The 32-year-old Nigerian international has been a rock for the Tigers during their promotion campaign, bringing valuable experience and stability at the back. 

His consistent performances have been key to Hull City’s successful return to England’s elite division after several seasons away.
