Senegal Deny Submission of Bid For 2025 AFCON

The Senegalese Football Federation has denied submitting bid to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

Senegal's name was prominent among the list of countries which includes Morocco, Algeria, Zambia and Nigeria and Benin ( joint bid) that show interest in staging the competition.

The federation on Monday released a statement to deny the media reports.

"The Senegalese Football Federation informs public opinion that Senegal is not a candidate for the organization of CAN 2025, contrary to what some media have recently announced. 

Senegal's sports authorities are currently focusing on the construction and rehabilitation of sports infrastructure across the country in order to be able to host a major continental competition in the near future", the statement read
