Senegal’s senior women’s team, the Teranga Lionesses, have released a formidable squad for their upcoming international friendly matches against Nigeria’s Super Falcons, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The two friendly games, scheduled for June 5 and June 8, will be played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
The double-header was arranged through an agreement between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Senegalese Football Federation to help both teams fine-tune their preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Senegal’s squad is described as one of their strongest in recent times, signaling the Teranga Lionesses’ serious intent as they ramp up preparations for the continental tournament.
For the Super Falcons, the encounters represent valuable high-level tests against a competitive African side as they continue their build-up toward WAFCON.
The matches are expected to draw significant interest, offering both teams an opportunity to assess their tactical readiness, squad depth, and player form against strong opposition.
Nigeria, one of Africa’s most decorated women’s teams, will be keen to maintain their dominance on home soil, while Senegal will look to challenge the Super Falcons and gain crucial match experience.
