Senegal Supporter Dies in Tragic Car Accident En Route To Sudan Match

The Senegalese football community is mourning the loss of Aida Mbengue, a young supporter who tragically died in a car accident while traveling to Tangier to watch Senegal face Sudan in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Aida, a student, was reportedly en route to the stadium when the accident occurred. 

Her untimely passing has left family, friends, and the wider Teranga Lions fan base in shock.

Condolences have poured in, including from her cousin, Papa Laye Ndoye, and the Senegalese football fraternity. 

The Senegalese Football Federation has extended its deepest sympathies to her family.

“May her soul rest in peace,” the statement concluded, as the nation remembers a devoted supporter whose passion for the game will not be forgotten.
