Serie A: Flying Eagles Star Earns Salernitana Valuable Point

Salernitana was denied their first victory of the season by Sassuolo despite scoring 2 goals in under 20 minutes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria's Flying Eagles star Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi was the star of the game as he was among the goalscorers for the away side.

A well-timed, defence-splitting through ball released Ikwuemesi, sending him one-on-one with with Sassuolo goalkeeper and calmly slotting the ball past Andrea Consigli in the Sassuolo net. 

Senegalese international Boula Dia doubled Salernitana's lead in the 17th minute but goals from Domenico Berardi and Kristian Thorstvedt denied the away side their first win of the season.

There was certainly frustration from Ikeuemesi and his teammates at the final whistle as the game ended 2-2.
