Serie A: Okereke Scores, Dessers Debut in Cremonese Narrow Defeat

Newly promoted Italian Serie A side Cremonese threw Nigeria's duo of David Okereke and Cyril Dessers into action in their first l game against Fiorentina on Sunday, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Fiorentina broke the deadlock when Christian Kouame cut inside from the right and laid it off for Giacomo Bonaventura to sweep in the first time with the inside of the left boot from 14 yards.

Just over two minutes later, Cremonese had equalised, Lucas Martinez Quarta leaving a bit too much space for Okereke’s free header on a cross from the right.

Cremonese got back on level terms with a goal from Cristian Buonaiuto before Cristiano netted the winning goal for the host.

Cremonese nearly equalized with Dessers slightly over-hitting the lob.

Both Dessers and Okereke joined the Italian club this summer from Belgian sides Genk and Club Brugge.
