Serie A: Osimhen Did Well Today But, Says Coach Spalletti

Manager of the Italia Serie A side Napoli Luciano Spalletti has given a verdict on the performance of Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen against Fiorentina, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.

Against all odds, Napoli lost 2-3 to Fiorentina at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday to the utmost surprise of fans.

While speaking at the post match conference, Spalletti praised Osimhen but believe he could have done better if he was able to attend all the training during the week.

Osimhen left the training early Wednesday after suffering a thigh injury but was certified fit to play at the weekend match.

" Osimhen wasn’t in the best shape today, as he skipped a couple of training sessions. He did well, but could’ve done better in these physical duels with Igor.”

Osimhen assisted Dries Mertens for the first goal before scoring the second goal himself, he also has the goal ruled out for offside.
