Serie A: Osimhen Scores As Napoli Title Ambition Suffers Blow

The title ambition of Napoli suffered a big blow on Sunday as they lost 2-3 at home to Fiorentina in a keenly contested encounter, BSNsports.com.ng can report


Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen, who missed the last match against Atalanta due to the accumulation of cards returned to the starting lineup.


It was Gonzalez who put the away side ahead in the 22nd minute and ensured that Fiorentina returned to the dressing room with a lead.


Dries Merten equalized for Napoli in the 58th minute off an assist from Osimhen while France International Jonathan Ikone restored Fiorentina's lead in the 66th minute.


Arthur Cabral made it 3-1 for the away side before Osimhen reduced the deficit to 2-3 in the 85th minute of the game.


All the efforts of the host to net a leveller late in the game proved abortive as they surrendered maximum points to Fiorentina.
