It was a double blow for Empoli on Sunday in the Italian Serie A as they suffered a 0-3 home defeat to AC Milan and still lost one of its key players to injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Empoli host the Rosonerri on Sunday and Nigeria's Super Eagles Tyrone Ebuehi has to be replaced in the game.

The former SL Benfica player was subbed off after the Milan giant scored the second goal in the encounter.

The severity of the injury is yet to be determined for it looks like the Nigerian International will spend some time in the treatment room.

The right fullback was not considered for the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast by the Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.
