Setién: Chukwueze Is At A Good Level

Villarreal Head Coach Quique Setién has underlined his satisfaction with the performance of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian was target as the Yellow Submarines came from behind to beat Valencia 2-1 on the eve of the New Year at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Setién was quoted to have said after the game, “He is a player who was already important before my arrival and now he is at a good level. 

"I’ve had to think more about the positions up front, I’ve got six players who could have started perfectly well. Both Samu (Chukwueze) and the rest know that they have to give something to keep their places.”

On his assessment of the match, “The team is getting closer to what I want, there are things I am very happy with. Although there is always room for improvement. We deserved to win the game and a victory reinforces what you do.”
