The Nigeria women's national under-17 football team, continued their impressive preparation for upcoming international assignments with a commanding 7–2 victory over Youth Arise Football Academy (YAFA) in a friendly encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The match, part of a series of build-up fixtures under head coach Akeem Busari, showcased the Flamingos’ attacking depth and sharpness in front of goal.

Oluebube Umejiaku led the scoring with a first-half hat-trick, finding the net in the 13th, 25th and 36th minutes. Wuraola Olayiwola added a fourth just before the break to give Nigeria a comfortable advantage.

The Flamingos maintained their intensity in the second half, with Sefiat Idris and Aminat Adebisi scoring in quick succession shortly after the hour mark, while Queen Joseph completed the rout in the 68th minute.

YAFA pulled two goals back through Israel, who converted a rebound from the penalty spot in the 49th minute, and Terrence, who added a second in the 66th minute.

The result continues a strong run of form for the Flamingos in their recent friendly matches. They recorded victories over Nazareth Queens (6–0) and Generation Next (7–0), in addition to a 1–1 draw against Real Rising Stars SC.

Attention now shifts to Nigeria’s upcoming qualifier for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, where they are set to face Guinea women's national under-17 football team.

As part of final preparations, the team is expected to relocate to Remo Stars Stadium, where they will continue training ahead of the crucial fixture.
