Sevilla coach Garcia Pimienta has expressed confidence that Chidera Ejuke will soon return to his best following his recent recovery from a three-month injury layoff, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ejuke, who joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer, had made a solid start to his career at the club, scoring one goal in his first nine La Liga appearances.

However, his progress was interrupted in late October when he suffered a hamstring injury during Sevilla's 5-1 defeat to Barcelona.

After returning to training in early January, the 27-year-old made his comeback last week against Girona, playing just nine minutes in a 2-1 defeat.

"I think Ejuke was good. He was involved and even took a shot from outside the box. Little by little, he will get back to his best level. That’s the way we’re progressing," Pimienta said, according to Futbol Fantasy.

Sevilla is currently 12th in La Liga and will be aiming to climb the standings in the upcoming weeks.
