Sevilla Responds to Finidi's Claims
By Sampson Adedeji
Spanish La Liga club Sevilla has addressed recent comments made by former Super Eagles coach Finidi, who accused the club of disrespecting Kelechi Iheanacho, as reported by BSNSports.com.ng.
Iheanacho joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after parting ways with Premier League side Leicester City.
However, the 28-year-old forward has struggled to secure regular playing time with the former UEFA Europa League champions.
The striker has yet to score in nine league appearances for Sevilla.
In response to the claims via Marca, Sevilla's Pimienta stated, "We have not disrespected Iheanacho at any point. He has played less than I expected. He is an established international player, but Isaac has featured more."
Pimienta added, "He may have options in European football, but like many of his teammates, he hasn’t played much. No one has been disrespected. I believe he will have offers and will make his decision. If he stays, there won’t be any issues."
