Sampson Adedeji
After spending two fruitful years with the Cypriot Premier League side Omonia Nicosia, Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi has decided to bid the club farewell, BSNsports.com.ng understands.
The former Kano Pillars player joined Omonia in 2020 after having a decent outing in the Turkish Super Lig with Bursaspor and his stay seems to have brought good riding to the Cypriot club.
He described his moment with the club through his social media handle and further said it's not a goodbye message but both parties will meet in future.
His post read, "I am honoured to play for Omonia, in two years we have been able to create history.
"For decades, titles were missing in Omonia & I am glad in two years, we won three titles & restored the pedigree of the club.
"This is not a goodbye message, but to say we will see in the future.
"I appreciate the management, coaches, backroom staff, and my teammates for the amazing memories we shared.
"To Omonia fans, I appreciate your support and love, I had an amazing memory. Wishing Omonia success in future endeavours," he said.
