Shehu Dikko Visits Recuperating Ex-NFA President Galadima In Kano

Shehu Dikko, the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), has visited the sick bed of Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Galadima (MFR) , the former President of Nigeria's apex football body Nigeria Football Association (NFA), reports BSNSports.com.ng.
Dikko, on Monday was in Kano to express condolences to the people of the state following the tragic loss of 22 members of Team Kano who died in a fatal bus accident while returning from the recently concluded Gateway Games held in Ogun State.
During his condolences visit, Dikko took the opportunity to visit Galadima and wished him a speedy recovery.
Galadima expressed his gratitude to Dikko and his entourage for their visit, assuring them that he is recovering well from his illness.
He stated, “As you may recall, years ago, I had an accident while travelling to Kaduna to meet with football stakeholders after the Nigeria 99 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
"After many years, I recently experienced some congestion in a specific area of my body. I underwent surgery last weekend, and thanks to Almighty Allah for His mercies, I am recuperating very well, as you can see.”
Galadima is the former chairman of Nigeria’s football governing body, now known as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He has also served as the Vice President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), the chairman of the Kano Football Association in the 1970s, and the Kano State Commissioner for Works and Sports in the 1990s.
Additionally, he was the inaugural chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission (KSSC).
He chaired the 10-Year Football Development Master Plan Committee established during the Buhari administration and served as the Board Chairman of the National Institute for Sports (NIS). Galadima is also a traditional ruler in Fagge, within the jurisdiction of the Kano Emirate Council.
