The Rwanda Football Association has confirmed that APR FC has forfeited their match against Gorilla FC played at the King Pele Stadium last weekend, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The forfeits is among the sanctions FERWAFA Competition Commission slapped on the Rwanda champions for violating the existing players limit.
APR FC coach Novic had 6 foreign players in the starting 11, against Gorilla FC and the issue unfolded when the coach made a double substitutions in bringing in Mamadou Sy and former Enugu Rangers captain Chidiebere Nwobodo.
The substitutions led APR FC playing with 7 foreign players instead of 6 provided by the foreign players quota rule .
The Federation accused APR FC of violating article 8.2 of the rules and regulations governing competition organized by FERWAFA.
Nwobodo joined the Rwandan side this summer after leading the Flying Antelope to the title
