Shooting Stars SC Face Crown FC In Gov Makinde Cup Final

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan will on Sunday clash with Nigeria National League side, Crown FC Ogbomosho in the final of Governor Seyi Makinde Cup, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The final match scheduled to kick off at 4:00 pm at the Lekan Salami stadium will see both sides renewing their rivalry and serve as preparatory match ahead new season.

Reacting to the match, 3SC Management said the competition served as part of preparations as the team is focused on achieving greater heights next season, "The next assignment as we intensify our preparation for the upcoming 2022/23 season is a clash against Crown FC of Ogbomoso.

The encounter, billed for this Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, is the final of a competition organised by the Seyi Makinde Football Volunteer Movement, in honour of our amiable governor, His Excellency Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde.

"To qualify for the final, we defeated Saki United 2-0 in Saki while Crown mauled Oyo State Housing Corporation 4-0 in Ogbomoso.

While targeting victory over the Ajilete Warriors on Sunday, we ultimately aim at concentrating on our major goal, which is, building a solid squad for the season."
