Showtyme Emerge Champions Of Ibadan City Basketball League

Showtyme Basketball Club emerged champions of the maiden Ibadan City Basketball League after defeating University of Ibadan 79-69 last Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The champions smiled to bank to cash out the sum of Three hundred and fifty thousand naira (N350,000) as prize money for winning the championship while University of Ibadan, the runners-up, got N250,000. Third-placed, Hoop and Dreams got N150,000 as prize money.

Daniel Sunday who emerged the Most Valuable Player in the competition got Fifty thousand naira (N50,000) for his excellence performance at the championship. 

On their road to final, Showtyme played 10 matches and won all. They defeated TTP (62-34) before beating The Polytechnic Ibadan (54-44) in the second match. Adamasingba Spartans fell to the champions (50-45) while Egbeda Local Government couldn't match up with the firepower of the winners.

Showtyme outran Hoop and Dreams in the semi-final (88-63) before handing a 10-point gap (79-69) final scores to University of Ibadan in the final to lift the inaugural trophy.
