Sierra Leone Withdraws From CAF Women's Olympic Qualifiers

The Football Federation of Sierra Leone has announced the withdrawal of the Women's senior football team from the ongoing 2024 qualifier of the Olympic Games, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

African Soccer governing body a few months ago released the draw and Sierra Leone was drawn against Ivory Coast.

The qualifier commenced this week and Sierra Leone is slated to face the Ivorian this weekend in the first leg.

The football federation of Sierra Leone late on Wednesday announced the official withdrawal of the team citing financial issues as the reason.

Apart from Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso and DR Congo have also pulled out of the qualifier.
