It was a perfect debut for Sodiq Ibrahim, who scored after coming on as a second-half substitute in Shooting Stars' 2-0 victory over Nasarawa United on MatchDay 21 of the Nigeria Premier Football League on Wednesday at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The new signing for Shooting Stars, who initially took some time to settle in with his new teammates, made a significant impact in the second half with a powerful strike that doubled 3SC's lead over Nasarawa United.

Tijani Kabir had given the home team an early advantage with a goal in the 14th minute. Speaking after the game, Ibrahim expressed his excitement about scoring on his debut for Shooting Stars.

"My debut goal for Shooting Stars is a huge boost for me and a way to show my gratitude to 'The Oracle,' Gbenga Ogunbote, for believing in me.

"I'm thrilled with the goal and want to thank my coaches, teammates, and the fans for making this day happen for me.

"While I was on the bench, I kept reminding myself to seize the moment if I was called upon, and thankful to God, I did.

“This is a significant step for me, and I hope to continue scoring and contributing to the club's overall success."
