Sokoto United Mourns Ex U20 Star, Abubakar Lawal

Nigeria National League, NNL, side, Sokoto United has mourned the passing of former Nigeria U20 midfielder, Abubakar Lawal, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

This was contained in a statement by the club's media officer, Abdulsalam Ibrahim Imam.

The statement reads: "Sokoto United FC is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our former player, Abubakar Lawal (El-Sharawi), who passed away in Rwanda.

"On behalf of the club’s management, technical crew, and players, we extend our sincere condolences to his family, the people of Sokoto State, and the entire Nigerian football community. His contributions to the club and the sport will always be remembered.

"We pray that the Almighty grants him mercy, forgives his shortcomings, and grants him eternal rest."
