South Africa Partnership Delights Nigeria Rugby Boss

President, Nigeria Rugby Football Federation, NRFF, Dr Ademola Are says the partnership agreement signed between his board and South Africa business mogul/Chairman, Africa Sports Connect, Mr Thabo Kubu is aimed at taking the game to greater heights. 

Speaking in Abuja, Are said the agreement is in the area of promotion and development of the National Rugby Union League, Sevens Circuit, Training and Education, Youth/Schools Rugby as well as National Representative Teams. 

"It will create awareness, and foster better friendships between Nigeria and South Africa. It will enhance our National League in terms of sponsorship, male and female, National Championship and grassroots sports development," he concluded.

The South Africa delegation which spent three days in Abuja met with the board of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC.

Kubu said the partnership with Nigeria Rugby Football Federation will assist both countries in developing the game. He said Nigeria has a big market that the game can capitalize on in the area of promotion.

"We are very happy that we made this trip to Nigeria and have succeeded in making this historic signing of the partnership agreement, both parties will try as much as possible to see that it will be obeyed by the latter.

The South African Billionaire insisted that they will bring technical expertise from their country to Nigeria to help in the growth of the game.
