South African Premier Division side TS Galaxy have bolstered their squad with the signing of Super Eagles goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 22-year-old, who was previously with Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Remo Stars, has signed a two-year deal with the Mpumalanga-based outfit, popularly known as “The Rockets.”

Bankole arrives in South Africa after attracting interest from several top Nigerian clubs, ultimately choosing to pursue an opportunity abroad following the expiration of his contract with Remo Stars at the end of the 2024/25 season.

The young shot-stopper spent five years with the Sky Blue Stars, making 93 appearances and keeping an impressive 43 clean sheets during his tenure.

A promising talent, Bankole earned his senior international debut for Nigeria’s Super Eagles in 2022 and continues to be regarded as one of the country's most promising goalkeepers.

TS Galaxy will be hoping his arrival strengthens their defensive unit as they look to climb the DStv Premiership table in the ongoing campaign.
