South African Goalkeeper Inspires Me - Nwabali

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has said Bafana Bafana of South Africa goalkeeper Rouwen Williams is an inspiration to him, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following his exploits at the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Williams was nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year award by FIFA. The Nigerian International admitted that the Mamelodi Sundown shot-stopper is an inspiration to him. “I see Ronwen Williams and not because we are in the same league,” the Nigerian told iDiski Times. “But I see him as the best goalkeeper in the world. He inspires me with how he plays, and I’m not surprised to see him on the list of nominees for the best goalkeeper in the world. “Ronwen Williams did well and not only at the AFCON but at club level as well", he added.
