Southampton Boss Praise Onuachu, Provides Update On His Injury

The coach of the English Premier League club Southampton Russell Martins has heaped praises on the Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky attacker started his first game this season for the Saints against Liverpool at the Saint Mary Stadium on Sunday, and he was able to give a good account of himself.

He was subbed off in the game due to injury and the coach also provided an update on his injury.

" Paul probably deserved to start before now, the way he's trained, he's been so good".

" He was really good, so I hope his injury is nothing too serious; it's just a bit of fatigue, but I thought he played well", the coach said.

Onuachu has played 6 games for Southampton this season.
