Southwest FA Chairmen Compel NFF To Hold Annual General Assembly

The six Southwest Zone Football Association chairmen on Friday have asked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to immediately convene the meeting for the Annual General Assembly, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
This is contained in the communique of the meeting of the Chairmen and Secretaries of the Zone Football Association held In Abeokuta, Ogun State on Friday, 24 June
2022.
It reads, "following the report of the Abuja meeting by the Oyo State FA Chairman and the impending vacation of the court injunctionÂ
that has prevented the earlier convening of the NFF Annual General Assembly, it was resolved that the Zone supports the urgent convening of the Annual General Assembly as soon as is possible in line with the NFF Statutes.

Recall that thean Bayelsa State Federal High Court ordered that the NFF should not hold Congress following a case brought before it By a board member of Nembe City Seigha Obiene. The ex-parte order stopping the federation from holding Congress had on Friday been withdrawn temporarily to pave way fort the NFF September elections.
