Sporting Supreme GM Targets National Cup Impact After FCT Triumph

The General Manager of Sporting Supreme FC, Ismail Hamza, has expressed confidence that the team will make the Federal Capital Territory proud at the upcoming National Federation Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Sporting Supreme secured qualification for the national competition after emerging champions of the 2026 FCT Federation Cup, following a hard-fought 2–1 victory in the final on Saturday.

Speaking after the triumph, Hamza—popularly known as Veron—assured supporters in Abuja that the team is determined to maintain its impressive form on the national stage. He highlighted the squad’s recent international success as evidence of its potential to compete at a high level.

The club previously claimed the U-19 title at the Dana Cup in Denmark and also lifted the U-18 trophy at the Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Hamza attributed the team’s progress to a combination of quality players, committed management, and dedicated coaching staff. He expressed optimism that Sporting Supreme can advance beyond the early rounds of the 2026 National Federation Cup and continue to build on their recent achievements.
