Sports Federations Get New Secretary Generals Ahead of 2025 Elections
By Admin
With some some months to the elections of many Sports Federations, the National Sports Commission (NSC) has approved the immediate posting of Secretary-Generals.
This according to a circular signed by Deputy Director of NSC, Bello Ahmed.
The directive, titled “Posting of Sports Officers/Secretary-Generals to National Sports Federations on SGL 08-16,” stated that the Director-General has sanctioned the changes and attached a detailed list of affected officers.
The circular instructed the Federation Establishment and Appointment Department to ensure compliance with the posting directives.
Affected officers are required to report to the Director of Human Resources Management without delay.
The NSC emphasised the urgency of the directive, warning that failure to adhere to the posting instructions would contravene public service rules and attract appropriate sanctions.
The directive underscores the Commission’s commitment to ensuring the smooth functioning of sports federations nationwide.
Though, some of the Secretaries maintained their positions with same federation while some are moved from one federation to another as campaign for elections of sports federations loom.
