Sports Minister Sunday Dare Bags Excellence Award in Public Service

The Federal Government of Nigeria has nominated the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare, to receive a Distinguished Award for sports development at the forthcoming Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NESPS).

The recognition came following tremendous development Nigeria Sports has witnessed in the last three years as well recognition of his efforts in championing Federal Government's Investment in youth development through

DEEL, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development initiative aimed at giving Nigerian Youth an added advantage and a competitive edge in the global workforce.

The FG said the minister emerged as winner of the award in recognition of his efforts in championing government’s investment in the youth and the informal sector transparently.

They noted that Dare had also achieved so much in fast tracking sports development in the country within three years of his assumption of office.

The Award will be presented by the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari at the State House Conference Center, Abuja at 10:00 am on 21st October, 2022.

Sunday Dare had won the Best Performing Minister in December, 2021.

He also bagged Youth Award in the United States of America in 2022.
