Squash: Team Nigeria Secures Bronze At Africa Seniors Championships 2022

Nigeria’s contingent to the ongoing 2022 Squash Federation of Africa Seniors Championships in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, scooped third position at the tournament.

The youthful Nigerian side made sure they did not come back home from the top-level tournament empty-handed.

While the women’s team which included Favour Utukpe, Busayo Olatunji, Rofiat AbdulAzeez, and Blessing Isaac defeated Zambia on Monday morning to seal third place, their male counterparts conquered Kenya 2-0.

It was a good experience for the young Nigerian team as the players are tasting action at the Africa Seniors Championships for the first time.

The official announcement of the participating teams’ placement is expected to be made on Tuesday.
