St Pauli Striker Targets World Cup Spot With Super Eagles

Nigerian-born St Pauli attacker Oladapo Afolayan is targeting a World Cup spot with Nigeria's Super Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Afolayan was born in England to Nigerian parents which made him eligible to represent Nigeria.

The Super Eagles is yet to secure its place in the upcoming World Cup in 2026 but Afolayan is already eyeing a place in the team.

While speaking to the Bundesliga news outlet, Afolayan said is willing to represent Super Eagles in the competition.

 "I want to kick on again, play international football. Play for Nigeria at the next World Cup, and hopefully as long as my performances keep being strong and improving, then I’ll do that,” he told the Bundesliga.
