Chairman of Enyimba FC, Nwankwo Kanu has splashed out two million naira on the team after humiliating Rivers United 4-1 in a match day 34 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, match, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

In a thrilling match on Sunday, June 2, 2024, Enyimba emerged victorious over Rivers United to the delight of its club Chairman.

As the team gathered in the dressing room, Nwankwo surprised everyone by announcing that he would be giving out a whopping sum of 2 million Naira to be shared among the players and officials.

According to him, the cash gift will serve as a motivation for the team to continue performing well in future matches.

The Enyimba boss also went on to highlight the importance of winning the league and also emphasizing his confidence in the team.
