StarTimes/NPFL: Niger Tornadoes Not Safe Yet - Majin Mohammed

Majin Mohammed has said that Niger Tornadoes are not safe yet from escaping relegation after a 1-0 defeat to Heartland FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Niger Tornadoes' five-game unbeaten streak came to an end as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Heartland FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in a Matchday 37 encounter.

Chukwudi Esobe's first-half header in the 18th minute proved to be the decisive goal, as Tornadoes' efforts to equalize were thwarted by Heartland's solid defence and goalkeeper Chisom Chiaha's outstanding goalkeeping.

Despite second-half substitutions aimed at changing the tide, Tornadoes were unable to break down the hosts' defence, and the match ended in a slim home win for Heartland.

According to Majin; "We had a very good first half. We had our chances but we couldn't convert them and then they had only one chance and converted it.

"We are not safe yet. Nobody is safe yet from 11th downward. We will go back home and see what we can do in the last game. It's a must-win match for us. We will go back home and put ourselves together. We must get those three points."

This result leaves Tornadoes with a must-win situation in their final game of the season against Sunshine Stars of Akure next weekend in Kaduna.
