Sunshine Stars midfield marshal, Osimaga Duke has expressed delight after helping his team to escape relegation in the 2023/2024 NPFL season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Duke, who featured in 35 matches for his side is hoping to end the season on a winning note when they clash with Niger Tornadoes in the final league game of the season. 

The midfielder hailed the coaches, backroom staff and fans for their support during the season while promising to do better next season. 

"We give God thanks for bringing us out from the relegation zone and making me have an injury-free season. I thank God for making it possible for me to play over 36 matches without an injury.

"We are coming here to do what we know how to do best. We are coming here to play for the state, coaches, players and fans. 

"We thank the coaches and backroom staff for the encouragement. We thank the fans for sticking with us and promise to do better next season."
