Startimes/NPFL: Abia Warriors Target Victory Against 3SC, Not Pedigree - Femi Thomas

Veteran goalkeeper, who plies his trade for Abia Warriors, Femi Thomas has said the target against Shooting Stars Club of Ibadan is victory and not their pedigree, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Both sides will clash in a Match Day 34 2024 Nigeria Premier Football League fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan. 

According to Thomas, the current crop of players at Abia Warriors are young and energetic, capable of getting a good result against the Oluyole Warriors on Sunday. 

"Shooting, Rangers etc is just what you have upstairs. Most of the players are very young. Most especially a team like Abia Warriors, we have a very young team which are very mobile in the field of play. 

"It should be a motivation because when we were still very young if you played against big teams like Rangers and Shooting Stars, we would want to showcase our talents but nowadays, it is just about the name.

"For me to urge them to bring out their 101% of their performance, I will rather say they should come out on Sunday and enjoy the game very well. We don't want to play Shooting Stars, we want to play their 11 on the field of play. We are hoping to the the best result. 

"We are here to enjoy the game and secondly, we have it at the back of our mind because our last game was not very good because we lost at home. Our focus is Shooting Stars and we are bringing our 101% for the game. We want to feel good after the game and pray we have a good result."
