Gombe United have been confirmed relegated from the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, after suffering a 2-0 home defeat to Sunshine Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Goals from Promise Awosanmi and Lucky Nwafor compounded the woes of Gombe United and helped Sunshine Stars' relegation survival. 

In Aba, Enyimba FC, under the tutelage of Yemi Olanrewaju dismantled Rivers United 4-1 in a scintillating fashion at the Enyimba Stadium.

Fidelis Ilechukwu Rangers International snatched a point on the road in Lagos after holding Sporting Lagos to a goalless draw to keep their title hopes alive. 

Niger Tornadoes came from behind to pick a point off Kwara United while Bayelsa United were 3-2 victors over Plateau United. 

On Saturday, Remo Stars defeated Kano Pillars 2-1 while Doma United beat Lobi Stars 1-0. Bendel Insurance 2-0 Katsina United.
