State Govt Provides Free Transport, Stadium Access For Rivers United NPFL Final Day

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved free entry for supporters attending Rivers United’s final match of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season against Katsina United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Matchday 38 encounter is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, with kick-off set for 4:00 p.m.
In a move aimed at encouraging widespread support for the club, the governor, through the Rivers State Ministry of Sports, directed that stadium gates be opened to fans free of charge for the decisive fixture.
To facilitate transportation for supporters, the state government will also provide free shuttle bus services from designated locations across Port Harcourt. The buses will begin assembling from 12:30 p.m., with departure to the stadium scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

UST Convocation Arena
UNIPORT Market Square
Mile 3 by Ikoku Flyover
Mile 1 by Education Bus Stop
Sharks Stadium (two buses)
Yakubu Gowon Stadium (two buses)
Rumuomasi Market Junction
Rumuola by Aba Roundabout
Rivers United head into the final game of the season with an opportunity to secure the NPFL title. Victory over Katsina United, alongside a favourable result involving Ikorodu City in Lagos, would see the Port Harcourt-based side crowned league champions.
The club has called on football fans and residents across Rivers State to turn out in large numbers to support the team in what could become a historic occasion for the club and the state.
