Sunday Oliseh Applies For Rwanda's Manager Position

Rwanda Football Association has intensified its efforts to get a substantive coach for the Amavubi before the start of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier, BSNsports.com.ng understand.

The football body released the list of managers that have applied for the vacant position and the name of former Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh featured prominently on the list.

The former Super Eagles skipper started his managerial career with Belgium third division club Verviers in 2008/2009 season and moved to another team RCS VISE in the 2014/2015 season.

He was appointed the coach of the Super Eagles between 2015 - 2016 where he played 14 matches and lost twice.

Oliseh qualified Super Eagles B team to CHAN tournament and also qualified Super Eagles for the group stage of the 2018 World cup qualifier.

According to the list released by the Rwanda Football Association, Oliseh was listed alongside ex Al Ahly player and coach Hossam El Badry, current Cameroon assistant coach Sebastian Migne and former Amavubi coach Stephane Constantine have applied for the vacant Rwanda job.

The others seeking the Amavubi job include; Allain Giresse (France)

Arena Gugliermo (Switzerland)

Gabriel Alegandro Burstein (Argentina)

Ivan Hasek (Czech Republic)

Ivan Tossi (France)

Tony Hernandez (Spain)

Oliseh has also worked in the Dutch Eerste Divisie with Fortuna Sittard.
