The technical adviser of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has admitted that their game against Sunshine Stars was tough but they had it under control, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rivers United defeated Sunshine by a lone goal in one of their rescheduled NPFL game.

During a post-match reaction, Eguma admitted it was tough because the Akure-based club was also eyeing a spot in the Super Six.

"It was a tough game and we expected it because Sunshine Stars was also eyeing the Super Six play-off and they played hard but the game was under our control.

We pressed them from the beginning and we got our goal even though the referee disallowed one of our goals, it would have been more than a goal.

The players did very well but Sunshine Stars were just lucky, it would have been dozens of goals, I commended the players", he said.
