Super 6: Barr. Green Tips Rivers United To Emerge 2023 NPFL Champions

As Rivers United set to face Bendel Insurance in the match-day 4 of the Nigeria Premier Football League Super 6, Barr. Chris Green has said they are worthy champions if they eventually win the playoff, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pride of Rivers are currently the defending champions of the league after winning the title last season for the first time in their history.

While speaking with BSNSports.com.ng correspondent, Barr. Chris said they have garnered enough experience to return to the continent.

"We are going to approach the game with all seriousness and ensure that we don't lose the game." Green told BSN Sports.

"We went as far as the quarter-final of the Confederation Cup and the team has garnered experience with what we did last season.

"So going back this time, they will go with enough experience and go as far as winning the trophy.

"If we ( Rivers United) win the Super 6, we are worthy champions and everybody can see what we have done so far", he said.
