Super 6: I Wanted NPL Title For Remo Stars, Happy With Champions League Ticket- Anaemena

Remo Stars defender Ifeanyi Anaemena has expressed his satisfaction with the continental ticket they got but said he wanted to win the title, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Sky Blue Boys surprised bookmakers on Sunday after they defeated Bendel Insurance by a lone and picked a Champions League ticket at the expense of the defending champions Rivers United.

While speaking on the game, the lanky defender said he won it with Enyimba in 2019 and aimed for the title this season but it was never meant to be.

"The game was good and we are happy.

Going into the continent, I expect our management to strengthen the team.

I came in from Saudi Arabia to join the team ( Remo Stars) if I have to stay with them, I think we will go far.

I wanted more than the continental ticket because I won it with Enyimba in 2019, I was expecting to win the league but unfortunately, we got a continental ticket", he said.
