Super 6: Sunshine Stars Thrash Lobi Stars

Sunshine Stars finally secured their first win in the Nigeria Premier League Super 6 but unfortunately, it came on the final day of the playoffs, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Playing in the first game of the final day, Stephen Chukwude put the Akure Gunners ahead in the 22nd minute to peg back Lobi Stars' attacking threat.

Michael Olalusi made it 2-0 for the Edith Agoye tutored boys in the 39th minute and ensured a comfortable win going into halftime.

Lobi Stars showed an improved performance in the second half and their efforts paid off in the 70th minute with a goal from Elijah Ani.

As the Markudi-based club pressed for an equalizer, it was Sunshine that got another goal in the 83rd minute to end the game 3-1.
