Super Eagles’ Onyemaechi Stresses Need For Consistent Playing Time At Olympiakos

Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi has emphasised that regular game time with Greek giants Olympiakos is crucial for maintaining his place in Nigeria’s national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In January, the 26-year-old left-back joined Olympiakos from Portuguese outfit Boavista and has already helped the club clinch two trophies.

Speaking to Brila FM, Onyemaechi noted that featuring consistently at club level remains his top priority.

“The most important thing for me is to get more game time because if you don’t play much, it’s very difficchallenginghe national team. You always want to represent your country, so that’s my focus,” he said.

Onyemaechi also reflected on his move to Greece and the successes that followed.

“It’s been great. For me, it’s one of my biggest achievements to join such a historic club and win two trophies with them. I was really happy, and I’m looking forward to more.

 “The culture here is quite different from Boavista, but at a bigger club, the pressure is higher you’re expected to win the league. The demands here are greater than in Portugal,” he added.
