Super Eagles Camp Opens On 24 March in Turkey Ahead Of International Friendlies
By Niyi Busari
Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, will open camp on March 24, 2026, in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of a four-nation invitational tournament originally scheduled to take place in Jordan, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The team is expected to engage in two international friendly matches during the tournament, facing Iran on Friday, March 27, before taking on hosts Jordan on Tuesday, March 31.
Both fixtures will now be played in Antalya following the relocation of the tournament from Jordan due to ongoing military tensions in parts of the Middle East. The change in venue was necessitated by security concerns affecting the originally designated stadiums in Amman.
The Super Eagles will kick off their campaign against Iran at 4:00 p.m. local time, before concluding their fixtures against Jordan with an 8:00 p.m. kickoff.
The tournament is expected to offer Nigeria valuable competitive preparation ahead of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, as the team continues to build cohesion and assess squad depth.
Nigeria last featured in competitive action at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they faced Egypt in the third-place playoff.
