Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle To Meet Kayode Micheal During Unity Cup

The Super Eagles’ head coach, Eric Chelle, is reportedly keen to work with forward Kayode Micheal, as the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) moves to convince the talented attacker to commit to the national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

ESPN reports that NFF officials are arranging a face-to-face meeting with Kayode in London next month during the Unity Cup, signaling Nigeria’s intent to secure his international allegiance.

However, the 21-year-old’s agent is reportedly resistant to the move, preferring that Kayode continue his development within Italy. 

The agent expressed confidence that Italy’s interim coach, Silvio Baldini who previously worked with Kayode at the U21 level will offer the forward a senior national team call-up in May.

The upcoming meeting in London could prove pivotal in determining whether Kayode Micheal will don the Super Eagles jersey or continue his international career with Italy.
