Super Eagles Coach Impressed With NPFL Players' Performance

Super Eagles coach, Jose Paseiro has expressed satisfaction with the performance of home based players in their 1-2 loss to the Mexico national team at the AT&T Stadium, Dallas, Texas, USA on Sunday morning.


 Peseiro at the post match press conference said that he is impressed by the NPFL players: "They came and they played very well."


Santiago Gimenez put Mexico ahead taking advantage of misunderstanding between the goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho and Chidozie Awaziem.


However, eight minutes into the second half, in-form and Europa Conference League highest goal scorer, Cyriel Dessers was found by Calvin Bassey's cross with a header to draw level the scoreline.


William Troost Ekong however, restored Mexico lead when he tapped a low cross into his own net. The loss means that Jose Paseiro started Super Eagles job with a lost though, he knew he has a lot to do before another International friendly match on June 2nd.
