Super Eagles Defender Kevin Akpoguma Set For Serie A Move

Nigeria international Kevin Akpoguma is on the verge of completing a move to Italy after newly promoted Serie A side Frosinone reached an agreement to sign the experienced defender, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations between Frosinone and Akpoguma have been concluded, with the club expected to announce the contract details in the coming days.

The move will bring an end to Akpoguma's long association with German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim, where he spent more than a decade after joining from Karlsruher SC in 2013.

During his time in Germany, the 31-year-old also had loan spells at Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hannover 96 before cementing his place in Hoffenheim's first team.

The transfer marks a new challenge for the Super Eagles defender as he prepares to begin his first spell in Italian football ahead of the new Serie A season.
