The poor runs of the English Championship side Queen Park Rangers continue in the league as they suffered another 1-0 loss to Wigan Athletic on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Just-recovered Nigeria's Super Eagle defender Leon Balogun also made a return to the team after spending close to 4 months out of club action due to injury.

His return came at a cost for the QPR as he committed a foul in the box which led to a penalty and was converted by Wigan.

Balogun brought down Daniel Sinani 5 minutes into the game then expectedly the centre referee pointed to the spot and the penalty was converted by Max Power.

Balogun return is a big boost for the club as he has been out of action since November 2022 and QPR has one win in 16 matches.

Former Brighton Hove Albion defender who missed the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea Bissau due to injury and resumption will serve as a big relief for the Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.
